What Can Second Loop Do For You?
Second Loop professional consultants offer expertise in open source Voice over IP (VoIP) solutions for a wide range of business applications. Our background in TCP/IP networks and traditional telephony services strengthens each VoIP design, whether implemented in the cloud or on your local network. We provide a full spectrum of services for both current VoIP users and users migrating from a traditional telephone service.
Second Loop offers a wide range of consulting services built with our knowledge and experience designing and implementing business telephone service using powerful open source VoIP software from Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, FreePBX and Kamailio. Each of our solutions is tailored according to your needs. Our technical team strives to use only open source software in each system we design; however, if the logical solution calls for a commercial sub-component, we have the experience to integrate VoIP software modules into open source infrastructures.
What kind of Internet connection do I need for my call center?
With VoIP, your voice communications are converted to data. You will need an Internet connection capable of passing the data at a fast rate in order to achieve quality voice connections. The exact bandwidth you will need depends on considerations such as the number of lines, call volumes, latency, and the other uses of your Internet connection. We will do the math for you and include our recommendation in the overall design.
Can VoIP service be encrypted?
All of the open source solutions we provide offer encryption options.
Will my system gets attacked or hijacked?
Just like any network or cloud resource, your VoIP system can get hacked, allowing others to originate calls from your resources or preventing you from placing/receiving calls. We will ensure your VoIP PBX is secure to prevent outsiders from hijacking your service. System maintenance must include security updates and patches, just as with any other software application with a connection to the Internet.
Can you source solutions that accept Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies?
Yes, depending on the desired location of the servers, we have had reasonable success identifying and engaging service providers that accept cryptocurrencies. For hardware requirements, we have sources for many popular corded IP phones, conference phones, video phones and headsets. In addition, we accept Bitcoin payment for our consulting services.
How do I avoid getting locked into a solution that I will outgrow?
While there is no absolute guarantee, we will recommend a solution with a combination of the features you want and a capacity that is consistent with your future requirements.
How much do your services cost?
Our fees are based on the amount of work required to meet your requirements. Our first step is to understand your requirements and your schedule. We then provide a proposal based on your requirements. Our proposal will outline our fees and the costs you can expect if you need hardware, hosting or commercial software. In limited complex cases, we will charge a nominal fee to engineer your proposal. We will tell you up front and you will always have the option to decline.
What monthly or annual fees will I have to pay?
With open source VoIP solutions, you will not have licensing fees or per-seat fees. It is possible that components of your solution require commercial software. You will see these items and their respective costs in our proposal.
